This scheme prioritizes single women, differently-abled individuals, senior citizens, transgender persons, destitute women, SC/ST communities, minorities, and other weaker sections. Additionally, sanitation workers, street vendors identified under the PM SVANidhi Scheme, artisans covered under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme, Anganwadi workers, construction laborers, and slum dwellers will also benefit from the scheme.
₹2.5 Lakh Grant for BLC Beneficiaries: Beneficiaries under the BLC category will receive a grant of ₹2.5 lakh per house. Additionally, the scheme includes a provision for self geo-tagging of houses to track construction progress. The scheme has revised eligibility criteria, ensuring that an entire family unit (husband, wife, and unmarried children) is treated as a single beneficiary, eliminating separate benefits for unmarried adult members.
