₹100 Crore Allocated for Fishermen's Prosperity Scheme, Paving the Way for New Opportunities with Solar Energy and Fisheries Development.

A meeting of the Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, was held on Wednesday at the Secretariat. In this meeting, several important decisions were taken for the comprehensive development and prosperity of the state.

Approval of the 'Poverty Welfare Mission':

The Cabinet approved the implementation of the 'Poverty Welfare Mission' to make the state poverty-free by the year 2028. The mission aims to uplift the poor and marginalized sections of society while ensuring a minimum income level for them. Under this mission, efforts will be made to improve areas like nutrition, health, education, sanitation, drinking water, energy, housing, and financial inclusion.

The mission will primarily focus on three components:

  1.  Improving the Multidimensional Poverty Index.

  2.  Strengthening livelihoods.
  3.  Empowering existing organizations.

Mission to Install Solar Rooftop Plants in Government Buildings: Under the PM Suryaghar Free Electricity Scheme, the Cabinet has approved the installation of solar rooftop plants in all government buildings across the state. This mission will be implemented in mission mode by the year 2025-26. State-level coordination committees and district-level committees have been formed to monitor the installation and operation of solar plants. This initiative aims to position the state as one of the leading states in the country in terms of solar energy.

Strengthening Dial-100 Service with 1565 Crore Rupees: The Cabinet approved an amount of 1565 crores for the second phase of the Dial-100 service (from April 2025 to September 2030). This project will include 1200 First Response Vehicles (FRVs).

Approval for 100 Crore for Fishermen's Prosperity Scheme: The Cabinet decided to continue the "Chief Minister Fishermen Prosperity Scheme" until 2025-26. The scheme includes programs like shrimp farming, fish seed production, establishment of smart fish parlors, and the conservation of Mahasheer fish. An allocation of 100 crores has been approved for this scheme.

Creation of 932 New Posts for Police Bands: The Cabinet approved the creation of 932 new posts for the establishment of police bands across all districts in the state. These posts include Inspector, Sub-Inspector, Assistant Sub-Inspector, Head Constable, and Constable Band positions.
