The Beed district administration has rigorously adhered to the directives issued by Agriculture Minister Dhananjay Munde. Approval has been granted for 25% advance crop insurance in all 87 circles of the district. Collector Deepa Mudhol-Munde has also given instructions for crop insurance companies to immediately distribute advance crop insurance in this regard. The district magistrate has issued a notification about this. This will provide immediate assistance to farmers.
State Agriculture Minister Dhananjay Munde conducted an assessment of the drought situation in Marathwada, especially in Sambhajinagar, three days ago. In this regard, the Beed district administration has diligently followed the orders issued for the districts of Marathwada. Farmers in Beed district have been facing a crisis, particularly in soybean production, due to a prolonged lack of rainfall. Since all 11 talukas of Beed district have been experiencing drought-like conditions due to a shortage of rainfall, Agriculture Minister Dhananjay Munde had to conduct a joint survey and submit a report within seven days to provide interim relief to farmers in the form of advance crop insurance. It was also decided to make insurance available in advance.
