Average prices of major varieties of Banana in prominent markets on 23th August

As of today, August 23, according to the Wholesale Price Index, the price of local (Bontha) Dessi bananas in major markets ranged from a maximum of 1500 rupees per quintal to a minimum of 1300 rupees per quintal, with an average price of 1400 rupees per quintal. The price of Amruthapani bananas in medium markets reached a maximum of 2500 rupees per quintal and a minimum of 1500 rupees per quintal, with an average price of 2000 rupees per quintal. The price of Banana Ripe in medium markets was at a maximum of 7400 rupees per quintal and a minimum of 1400 rupees per quintal, with a modal average price of 7200 rupees per quintal. The price of Red Banana in medium markets was at a maximum of 6400 rupees per quintal and a minimum of 5000 rupees per quintal, with an average price of 6200 rupees per quintal."
