Big Relief for Rural Consumers: New Domestic Electricity Connection Now Available for Just ₹5 – Here’s How to Avail

The Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company has launched a consumer-friendly initiative to provide new domestic electricity connections to eligible rural consumers at a nominal cost of just ₹5. This scheme is applicable to those residing in rural areas who qualify for a connection from the company's domestic feeders.

A New Step in Consumer Services:

This initiative is expected to significantly improve service delivery and make the power distribution system more responsive and efficient. The company has urged all consumers to promptly contact the designated Feeder Manager or Feeder In-Charge in case of any issues to ensure timely resolution.

Affordable Electricity Connection for Rural Households:

The Managing Director of the company, Mr. Kshitij Singhal, informed that the scheme is being implemented across all 11 kV feeders or feeder groups. He appealed to all eligible rural consumers to take advantage of this public welfare scheme.

  • Quick Resolution of Issues: Consumers will no longer have to wait for long periods to get their grievances addressed.
  • Enhanced Customer Service: Direct communication with Feeder Managers and In-Charges will ensure prompt action.
  • Improved Revenue Collection: The new arrangement is also expected to help the company collect dues more efficiently.

How to Apply:

Rural consumers can apply for this connection through the Saral Sanyojan Portal by following these steps:

  1. Visit the company’s website at 1.   https://portal.mpcz.in/.
  2. Select the "New Connection" option.
  3. Go to the “LT New Connection” tab and choose "Saral Sanyojan."
  4. Fill in the required details and complete the application process.
  5. Alternatively, directly visit https://saralsanyojan.mpcz.in:8888/home to apply.

Other Application Methods:

  1. Consumers can also visit their nearest power distribution center to apply.
  2. For assistance, call the toll-free number 1912.
  3. Applications can also be submitted via MP Online and Common Service Centers (CSCs).
