Availability of Mechanical Tools for Existing Tea Plantations: Various horticultural tools will be made available at subsidized rates for the management of existing tea plantations under this scheme. These include pruning machines, mechanical harvesters, plowing shears, leaf carriage vehicles, and leaf collection sheds.
4. Pruning Machine: The pruning machine will be given to farmers cultivating tea on a minimum of 2 acres. A subsidy of 50% of the actual cost or a maximum of ₹60,000 will be provided.
5. Mechanical Harvester: The mechanical harvester will also be given to farmers cultivating tea on a minimum of 2 acres. A subsidy of 50% of the actual cost or a maximum of ₹50,000 will be provided.
6. Plucking Shear: For plucking shears, farmers cultivating tea on a minimum of 2 acres will receive a subsidy of 50% of the actual cost or a maximum of ₹1,100. An applicant can apply for a maximum of 20 plucking shears.
7. Leaf Carriage Vehicle: The leaf carriage vehicle will be provided to farmers cultivating tea on a minimum of 10 acres (4 hectares). A subsidy of 50% of the actual cost or a maximum of ₹7,50,000 will be given.
8. Leaf Collection Shed: The leaf collection shed will be given to farmers cultivating tea on a minimum of 5 acres (2 hectares). A subsidy of 50% of the actual cost, or a maximum of ₹37,500 will be provided.
