The Madhya Pradesh government is making historic decisions in the interest of farmers. It has initiated several river-linking projects, including the Ken-Betwa project, to double the agricultural land in the state. The government is continuously working to maximize benefits for farmers and increase their income.
The government has announced that the minimum support price (MSP) for wheat procurement has been set at ₹2,425 per quintal. Additionally, farmers will receive a bonus of ₹175 per quintal, bringing the total payment to ₹2,600 per quintal.
To promote paddy procurement, the state government will transfer an additional ₹4,000 per hectare directly into the bank accounts of farmers. This amount will be credited by March, benefiting those farmers who have completed the required procedures.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized that the government is committed to farmers' welfare and is delivering on its promises by providing essential facilities. The primary objective is to enhance farmers’ income and offer them the necessary support to adopt advanced farming practices, ultimately strengthening the state's agricultural sector.
