Recently the Meteorological Department has predicted light moderate scattered to heavy rain and snowfall in Arunachal Pradesh from 6 to 7 February 2024. Apart from this, scattered to heavy rainfall is expected over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. During this period, light to moderate scattered rain is expected in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur and Tripura.
Dense fog conditions are expected to persist over isolated parts of Odisha on 7 February 2024, posing potential challenges for morning commuters in the region. Considerable variation in minimum temperatures is expected in different parts of the country. Minimum temperatures are likely to drop by 2-4 degrees Celsius over many parts of northwest India in the next two days, with no significant change expected thereafter. The minimum temperature is expected to drop gradually by 2-4 degrees Celsius over central India in the next five days. No significant change is expected in the minimum temperatures in the remaining parts of North India. These temperature variations can bring cold conditions to many areas, affecting daily life and preventing residents from being adequately prepared for changing weather update.
