The Madhya Pradesh government is consistently making significant decisions in the interest of farmers. The state government has announced that farmers will now be able to get a permanent electricity connection for just ₹5. This facility will first be launched in the central region and then expanded across the entire state. The government's objective is to make farmers self-reliant in terms of electricity, and for this, 30 lakh solar pumps will be provided over the next three years.

Earnings from Solar Energy with Direct Cash Payments:

The Chief Minister stated that to reduce electricity bills for farmers, solar-powered pumps will be distributed. Additionally, the government will purchase the surplus electricity generated by farmers using solar energy and provide them with direct cash payments, offering an extra source of income. The state government is committed to ensuring 24-hour electricity supply for every farmer.

Significant Benefits for Wheat and Paddy Procurement:

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced that the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for wheat has been set at ₹2,425 per quintal, with an additional ₹175 per quintal as a bonus, bringing the total payment to ₹2,600 per quintal. Moreover, for paddy procurement, farmers will receive an incentive of ₹4,000 per hectare.

Promoting Organic Farming and Crop Rotation:

The Chief Minister urged farmers to adopt crop rotation to maintain soil fertility and conserve water. He emphasized that organic farming is a key priority, and efforts are being made to establish Madhya Pradesh as a leading state in organic agriculture.

Expansion in Agriculture and Dairy Farming: The government's focus extends beyond crops to dairy farming as well. Farmers rearing ten or more cows will receive subsidies, and gaushalas (cow shelters) will be strengthened with an increased grant of ₹40 per cow.

District-Level Agricultural Fairs for Farmers: To introduce farmers to the latest technologies and advanced seeds, the government will organize agricultural fairs at the district level. Additionally, irrigation facilities in the state will be expanded through projects such as the Ken-Betwa and Chambal-Kali Sindh-Parvati River linking initiatives, further enhancing agricultural productivity.

A Government Committed to Farmers’ Welfare: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav emphasized that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, both the central and state governments are actively working to benefit farmers. He encouraged farmers to adopt modern agricultural techniques, take advantage of government schemes, and secure a better future for their children.
