The "Village Development Conference" was held in Bhairunda, Sehore district, with Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav as the chief guest. Several prominent leaders, including Union Agriculture Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan and other state and central ministers, were in attendance.
During the event, two key mobile apps were launched: "Awas Sakhi" under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin and the "Village Road Survey and Planning App." Additionally, the inauguration of 500 kilometers of roads under the PMGSY-IV scheme took place with a single-click process.
Self-Help Groups (SHGs) received Rs 150 crore in bank loans and community investment funds, transferred electronically in one go. The conference also saw the launch of eight pre-processing units and 100 community training centers, further strengthening rural development.
The state government approved the establishment of Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) centers in five new districts. These centers aim to provide skill development and employment opportunities to rural youth.
Financial Aid for Tendu Leaf Collectors and Bamboo Beneficiaries : In a significant move, a bonus of Rs 2.70 crore was distributed to 52,818 tendu leaf collectors in Sehore district. Furthermore, under the state's Bamboo Mission, 215 bamboo beneficiaries received subsidies worth Rs 1.04 crore for the distribution of 2,90,000 bamboo saplings.
Grand Roadshow in Bhairunda : Ahead of the conference, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Union Agriculture Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan participated in a grand roadshow in Bhairunda. The event was marked by a warm welcome from the town's business, social, and cultural organizations, as well as the general public.
Chief Minister’s Visit to Salakanpur Temple : Before attending the conference, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav visited the Shri Vijayasan Devi temple in Salakanpur, where he performed rituals and sought blessings for the success of the event.
