The Department of Women, Child Development, and Social Security has launched the Jharkhand Chief Minister Maiya Samman Yojana. The objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance of ₹1,000/- per month to women in the state, thereby strengthening their economic position. This assistance is directly credited to the beneficiary's bank account by the 15th of every month.
1. Financial Assistance: Women will receive ₹1,000/- per month as economic help.
2. Women Empowerment: This scheme reduces economic dependence and helps women become self-reliant.
To avail of the benefits of the scheme, the following eligibility conditions must be met:
1. The applicant must be a woman.
2. The applicant must be a permanent resident of Jharkhand.
3. The applicant must be between the ages of 21 and 49 years.
Who is Excluded from the Scheme?
Certain categories of women are not eligible to benefit from this scheme:
1. Women whose spouses or they themselves are employed in regular/contract positions in central/state government, public sector, local bodies, or government-aided institutions.
2. Women whose family members are Members of Parliament or Members of Legislative Assembly.
3. Women from families that pay income tax.
4. Women who are already beneficiaries of other social security schemes under the Women, Child Development, and Social Security Department.
5. Women who have an EPF (Employees’ Provident Fund) account.
Application Process: How to Apply?
Offline Process
1. Step 1:
o Interested women can obtain the application form from the Anganwadi Center, Block Development Officer (BDO), or Circle Officer's office.
o The application form can also be downloaded from the official department website.
2. Step 2:
o Fill out the application form with accurate details.
o Attach self-attested copies of all required documents.
3. Step 3:
o Submit the duly filled application form at the following locations:
Rural Areas: Nearest Pragya Center or Block Development Officer’s office.
Urban Areas: Zonal Officer’s office.
4. Step 4:
o After submitting the application, obtain a receipt or acknowledgment. This receipt will record the application date, time, and a unique identification number (if applicable).
