Tomorrow, March 21, Delhi is forecasted to witness partial cloud cover, as per the latest update from the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). Today, Wednesday, March 20, Delhi is expected to see temperatures ranging from a minimum of 14 degrees Celsius to a maximum of 33 degrees Celsius, with clear skies prevailing.
Looking ahead to the coming week, residents of New Delhi can anticipate a rise in temperatures by about 3 to 4 degrees Celsius. This change in weather pattern indicates a transition towards warmer conditions in the capital.

Air Quality Index (AQI) in Major Cities:

  1. The Air Quality Index (AQI) in various cities across the country continues to present concerning levels, showcasing the severity of pollution in these regions. This morning, New Delhi AQI level was recorded at 347, falling in the 'severe' category. In neighbouring regions, Ghaziabad recorded an AQI of 270, Faridabad 313, Meerut 152, and Gurgaon 344.
  2. Among the most polluted cities today, Ulhasnagar topped the list with an AQI of 490, followed by Noida with 398, Bhiwandi with 362, Vadodara with 353, Guwahati with 333, and Dispur with 328. 
  3. Conversely, some cities exhibit relatively lower pollution levels. Sopore recorded the lowest AQI at 12, followed by Raipur with 17, Durg with 18, Baramulla with 20, Bhilai with 20, and Jaunpur with 24.
  4. Furthermore, major cities and capitals across the country reported varying AQI levels: Mumbai at 130, Chennai at 88, Kolkata at 41, Lucknow at 191, Ahmedabad at 125, Jaipur at 103, Bengaluru at 115, and Hyderabad at 65.

These reports underscore the pressing need for concerted efforts towards improving air quality and implementing sustainable environmental practices to safeguard public health and well-being.
