While most parts of the country are experiencing some relief from the intense heat due to storms and rain, it is anticipated that scorching hot days and the onset of heatwaves will soon return to several regions of the country. According to the Meteorological Department, eastern and central parts of India are forecasted to experience thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds by May 14.

The Meteorological Department predicts that today, May 13, Delhi will experience partly cloudy skies, although occasional clear spells are also expected. It is forecasted that soon Delhiites will have to endure temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Celsius or more. Additionally, it is expected that from May 16, heatwaves and strong winds will prevail in many northwestern regions, including the Delhi NCR weather. Today in Delhi, the maximum temperature is likely to reach 40 degrees Celsius, with a minimum of 27 degrees Celsius. This week, there is a fear of the maximum temperature in Delhi soaring to 43 degrees Celsius.

Current Weather Conditions Across the Country: On May 13, it is forecasted that over the next 24 hours, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha, Telangana, Karnataka, and Kerala may experience light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds (40-50 kilometres per hour). Furthermore, there is a possibility of light scattered showers in parts of Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh in the Western Himalayas.
