According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), dense fog and haze are likely to cover northeastern Uttar Pradesh on the morning of November 5. Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and parts of Gangetic West Bengal are also expected to experience foggy conditions.
The last 24 hours, minimum temperatures across the Indo-Gangetic plains have remained 2-4℃ above normal. In northeastern Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, the increase has been even higher, with temperatures 3-5℃ above average. Maximum temperatures in most areas of the Indo-Gangetic region were 2-3℃ higher than usual, though Bihar’s maximum temperatures remained closer to the seasonal average.
Dense fog and haze are forecasted for cities like Lucknow, Azamgarh weather, Bahraich, Gorakhpur, Kushinagar, and Basti in Uttar Pradesh. While temperatures in these areas have remained generally normal, night temperatures are gradually dropping. Light rainfall is also possible in some eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh today.
The state capital, Lucknow, a thick layer of fog and haze is expected in the morning, but the skies should clear later in the day. The maximum temperature in Lucknow is forecasted to be between 32-33°C, while the minimum may range from 18-20°C.
Bihar Weather Conditions: Dense fog has settled over more than a dozen districts in Bihar. Cities including Patna, Begusarai, Bhagalpur, Banka, Chhapra, Gaya, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Nalanda, Samastipur, Saran, and Siwan are seeing the beginning of colder temperatures combined with dense fog and haze.
Patna Weather Update: Bihar’s capital, Patna, dense fog is expected in the morning, followed by overcast skies. Today, Patna's maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 28°C and 23°C, respectively.
