Department of pension and pensioners welfare provides 5 experience awards and 10 jury certificates

The Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare held the 7th Anubhav Awards ceremony to honor the contributions made by Central Government employees after their retirement. During this event, 15 individuals from 9 different ministries and departments were recognized, receiving 5 Anubhav Awards and 10 Jury Certificates. Notably, 5 of the awardees were women, marking the highest number of female recipients in a single ceremony so far.

Inauguration of the 55th Pre-Retirement Counseling Workshop:

On August 28, 2024, the Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare organized the 55th Pre-Retirement Counseling (PRC) Workshop at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. The workshop was designed for Central Government employees who are set to retire by March 31, 2025. Various sessions were held, covering topics such as the Bhavishya Portal, Integrated Pensioners Portal, retirement benefits, family pension, CGHS procedures, income tax rules, Anubhav, Digital Life Certificates, investment options, and more. The sessions aimed to provide retiring employees with essential information about the processes to be followed both before and after retirement.

More Than 750 Retirees Benefited:

A "Bank Exhibition" was also organized during the workshop, with active participation from 18 Pension Disbursing Banks. The banks provided guidance on opening pension accounts and offered various investment options for pension funds. More than 750 retiring employees benefited from the workshop. The department plans to continue organizing such workshops to ensure a smooth and fulfilling post-retirement life for Central Government employees.

11th All India Pension Adalat Held: The Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare organized the 11th All India Pension Adalat on August 28, 2024, in New Delhi, chaired by Secretary (Pension), Mr. V. Srinivas. The Adalat saw participation from officials of 22 ministries of the Government of India and pensioners, both in person and digitally. A total of 298 cases were heard, out of which 245 were resolved on the spot, achieving a success rate of over 82%.
