Indore Collector Mr. Ashish Singh visited the Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) at Laxmibai Nagar today. During his visit, he interacted with farmers and traders and reviewed the soybean procurement process. He issued instructions to ensure fair prices for the farmers’ produce and directed the preparation of a proposal to install a grader machine at the market.
The Collector emphasized that farmers bringing their soybean to the market should not face any inconvenience. He instructed officials to ensure proper basic facilities at the market and addressed the grievances of farmers and traders. Farmers and traders highlighted issues such as encroachment within the market premises and the presence of antisocial elements during nighttime. Mr. Singh ordered the removal of encroachments and improvement of security arrangements. He also inspected the fertilizer warehouse, reviewed stock availability, and directed that the availability of urea and DAP fertilizers for farmers be ensured without any hassle.
Collector Singh visited Central Warehouse No. 5 to inspect storage conditions and reviewed the moisture testing process for soybeans. Additionally, he inspected Baba Mahakaleshwar Warehouse in Tarana and interacted with farmers. The Collector stressed the need to monitor stock availability and consumption closely to prevent any shortages. His visit underscored the administration’s commitment to addressing farmers' concerns and improving the management of the agricultural market.
