Food Supply and Consumer Protection Minister Shri Govind Singh Rajput has informed that the Government of Madhya Pradesh is distributing food grains to 1 crore 28 lakh 86 thousand eligible families included under the Food Security Act through the targeted public distribution system operating at fair price shops. Under this scheme, wheat and rice are distributed monthly to eligible families belonging to the Antyodaya and priority categories. Starting from October 2024, changes have been made in the ratio of wheat and rice distribution to beneficiaries.
The allocation of food grains for November 2024 has been issued to the districts. Previously, the state was receiving wheat and rice from the central government in a 40:60 ratio. Currently, the allocation has been adjusted to a 60:40 ratio. Food grains are being distributed to eligible beneficiaries through fair price shops using POS machines based on this new ratio. Families in the Antyodaya category will receive 35 kg of wheat and rice, while each member of families in the priority category will receive 5 kg of wheat and rice.
In the districts of Agar-Malwa, Alirajpur, Badwani, Bhopal, Burhanpur, Chhatarpur, Damoh, Dewas, Dhar, Indore, Jhabua, Khandwa, Khargone, Mandasaur, Neemuch, Nivari, Panna, Raisen, Rajgarh, Ratlam, Sagar, Sehore, Shajapur, Tikamgarh, Ujjain, and Vidisha, 24 kg of wheat and 11 kg of rice will be distributed. In Ashoknagar, Betul, Bhind, Datia, Guna, Gwalior, Harda, Maihar, Mauganj, Morena, Narmadapuram, Rewa, Satna, Shivpuri, Sidhi, and Singrauli districts, 21 kg of wheat and 14 kg of rice will be allocated. In Shyopur, 22 kg of wheat and 13 kg of rice will be provided, while in Dindori, Mandla, and Seoni, 15 kg of wheat and 20 kg of rice will be distributed. For Chhindwara, Jabalpur, Katni, Narsinghpur, and Pandhurna, the distribution will be 20 kg of wheat and 15 kg of rice, and in Anuppur, Balaghat, Shahdol, and Umaria, 14 kg of wheat and 21 kg of rice will be allocated.
In the districts of Alirajpur, Badwani, Bhopal, Burhanpur, Chhatarpur, Damoh, Dhar, Indore, Jhabua, Khandwa, Khargone, Nivari, Panna, Raisen, Rajgarh, Sagar, Sehore, Tikamgarh, Vidisha, Ashoknagar, Betul, Bhind, Datia, Guna, Gwalior, Harda, Maihar, Mauganj, Morena, Narmadapuram, Rewa, Satna, Shivpuri, Sidhi, Singrauli, Shyopur, Chhindwara, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, and Pandhurna, 3 kg of wheat and 2 kg of rice will be distributed. In Agar-Malwa, Dewas, Mandasaur, Neemuch, Ratlam, Shajapur, and Ujjain, 4 kg of wheat and 1 kg of rice will be allocated. In Anuppur, Balaghat, Mandla, Seoni, Shahdol, Dindori, Katni, and Umaria, 2 kg of wheat and 3 kg of rice will be distributed.
