Weather Update Today, Due to Rain, there May be Cloudy sky in Many State

India is set to experience diverse weather conditions, ranging from rainfall and snowfall in the northern regions to dense fog in parts of the country. The meteorological forecast indicates the presence of a Western Disturbance, forming a trough in the middle tropospheric westerlies, extending approximately along Long. 71°E to the north Lat. 32°N. This disturbance is expected to induce a cyclonic circulation over northwest Rajasthan and its neighbouring areas in lower tropospheric levels.

Northern and Central Eastern Regions:

Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan & Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand can expect light to moderate isolated to scattered rainfall and snowfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning on 5th February. Dry weather is anticipated thereafter. Bihar and Uttar Pradesh may experience light isolated rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) on 5th February. Subsequently, dry weather is expected.
Arunachal Pradesh is likely to witness light to moderate scattered to widespread rainfall/snowfall from 5th February. 
Sikkim is on alert for isolated thunderstorms accompanied by hail on 5th February.

Dense fog may occur in these states:

Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh may experience dense to very dense fog on 5th February, spreading to isolated pockets on 6th February. West Uttar Pradesh, north Rajasthan, Gangetic West Bengal, Assam & Meghalaya, and Odisha are also likely to witness dense fog conditions.

Change in temperature:

East India anticipates a rise in minimum temperatures by 2-3°C over the next 2 days, with no significant change thereafter. Northwest India, on the other hand, expects a fall in minimum temperatures by 2-4°C over the next 2 days, with no significant change thereafter. The minimum temperatures across various regions showcase a mixed pattern, with normal to above-normal temperatures in the northern parts of the country, except for Bihar and isolated parts of East Uttar Pradesh, where it is below normal by 1-3°C. Gaya in Bihar reported the lowest minimum temperature at 7.6°C.
