The Minister of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection has directed that e-KYC for all eligible ration card holders under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) must be completed by April 30, 2025. Officials have been instructed to organize special e-KYC camps at village and locality levels to ensure the success of this drive.
Minister Shri Govind Singh Rajput informed that out of a total of 543.31 lakh eligible beneficiaries under NFSA in the state, 108.27 lakh beneficiaries are yet to complete their e-KYC. He urged those who haven’t completed the process to do so at the earliest, as failure to complete e-KYC within the stipulated time may result in disruption in receiving ration supplies.
The state government has launched a special e-KYC campaign from April 9 to April 30, 2025. Lists of remaining beneficiaries have been made available to concerned officials through POS machines, local bodies, and JSO login portals. Departments such as Panchayat and Rural Development, Urban Administration, and local staff are also assisting in implementing the campaign effectively.
The minister emphasized that e-KYC camps should be organized village-wise and locality-wise. Only after completing e-KYC of all beneficiaries in one area should a camp be set up in the next area.
During the e-KYC process, if any family member is found to be deceased, has permanently migrated, or is listed as a duplicate beneficiary, this information must be recorded on the ‘M-Ration Mitra’ portal through the local body’s login for necessary deletion.
100% e-KYC Completion Target by April 30: Additional Chief Secretary of the Food Department, Smt. Rashmi Arun Shami, has instructed all Divisional Commissioners and District Collectors to ensure 100% completion of e-KYC by April 30, based on district-wise daily targets. She also emphasized the need for intensified awareness campaigns so that no eligible beneficiary is left out of the process.
