Earn lakhs by selling brinjal: Farmers are gradually shifting towards cultivating non-traditional vegetables to make a profit. An example of this is Niranjansarkunde, a farmer from the Nanded district of Maharashtra, who earned 4 lakh rupees through brinjal farming, with the remarkable aspect being that his expenses were only around 30 to 40 thousand rupees.

According to a report published by AajTak, Niranjansarkunde initially used to cultivate traditional crops in his 5-acre field, which did not yield significant income. Due to a decrease in crop prices, he decided to shift towards vegetable farming. The report mentions that Niranjansarkunde cultivated brinjal in approximately 30 gunthas (a unit of land measurement) within his 5-acre field and used drip irrigation for watering. Brinjal are typically harvested within two months, and currently, he is earning a good profit by selling them.

The report also states that vegetables like tomatoes, okra, and brinjal fetch good prices in the market, which led him to start brinjal cultivation. He now sells his produce in the local market instead of sending it to other places, which has proven to be beneficial. Seeing his success, other farmers are also turning towards vegetable farming. Niranjansarkunde mentioned that he sells his vegetables locally instead of sending them to other places.
