BIID Agriculture researcher Rameshwar Chandak has provided various information to farmers about this crop. He believes that mushroom cultivation can be quite profitable for small and marginal farmers. Adequate water supply and proper management of fertilizers are required for mushroom cultivation. If both of these are managed properly, you can harvest crops worth up to 50,000 rupees per month from a 10x10 plot. Mushroom cultivation is also very easy. For mushroom cultivation in a 10x10 area, only seeds worth 500 rupees are required. Approximately 1,000 rupees for plastic bags and cards are also needed, and in this way, mushroom production can be done in just 30 to 45 days. A temperature of 25 to 35 degrees Celsius is considered ideal for mushrooms. Farmers can harvest this mushroom in just 45 days. Rameshwar Chandak further explained that if the cost of cultivation is deducted, farmers can earn up to 40,000 rupees in one and a half months.
