Temperatures Climbing Across Much of the Country, As the scorching heatwave intensifies across the nation, temperatures are soaring day by day. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a likelihood of maximum temperatures ranging between 44-47 degrees Celsius persisting in Eastern states of India, including West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, and Rayalaseema, until May 3rd. Such escalating temperatures indicate the severity of the heatwave and Heatwave (hot winds) in these regions. However, this intense heat is expected to peak until May 3rd and then gradually subside thereafter.

Severe Heatwave Conditions Expected:

On May 3rd, the Meteorological Department forecasts severe Heatwave conditions in cities like Kolkata, Asansol, Kalyani, Bankura, Ashoknagar, and several others in West Bengal. Consequently, a slight decrease in maximum temperatures may be observed in these areas.

Additionally, on May 3rd, Bihar and various parts of Jharkhand are also expected to experience intense Heatwave conditions. However, a relief from the scorching heat is anticipated in these regions after May 4th and 5th.

Impending Severe Heatwave in Telangana: Over the next three days, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Gujarat, and Odisha brace for severe Heatwave conditions, according to weather today predictions.

Recent Heatwave Intensifications: Yesterday, May 2nd, several regions in West Bengal, Bihar, Assam, Meghalaya, Odisha, and Tamil Nadu witnessed an approximate increase of 5 degrees Celsius in maximum temperatures, exacerbating the prevailing heatwave conditions.
