The process of creating Farmer IDs is progressing rapidly in Rajasthan and several other states. Since February 5, the government has set up camps at the panchayat level, where officials are assisting farmers in obtaining their IDs. Farmers can visit their local gram panchayat to get their ID registered.
To apply for a Farmer ID, farmers must provide their Aadhaar card and a linked mobile number. Additionally, land records (Khasra-Khatauni) details are required.
If any modifications are needed in the Khasra-Khatauni after obtaining the Farmer ID, farmers can contact their patwari, land surveyor, or tehsildar to ensure their records remain up to date.
The Farmer Registry is an initiative under the Agristack project, launched by the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare. It digitally records farmers' land and crop details and assigns them a unique 11-digit Farmer ID linked to their Aadhaar. This ID is verified through e-signatures and serves as a digital identity for farmers.
Key Benefits of the Farmer ID:
The Farmer ID system will streamline access to government schemes, ensuring transparency and efficiency in the agricultural sector.
