Now, procurement of wheat and other crops will be done only from farmers who have completed their Farmer Registry or have obtained a Farmer ID. Additionally, farmers will be able to avail benefits of government schemes like PM Kisan Nidhi and Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana based on their Farmer ID or Farmer Registry.
Jabalpur district, out of 1,65,270 registered farmers, 47,341 farmers have already completed their Farmer Registry. According to the Collector's Land Records Department, the state government has initiated this crucial Farmer Registry Program, under which every farmer will be provided with a Unique Farmer ID.
How to Register for the Farmer Registry?
Farmers can now complete their Farmer Registry from the comfort of their homes using a mobile app.
Apart from the mobile app, farmers can also register through: Patwaris or village survey assistants. MP Online kiosks and Common Service Centers (CSCs) by paying the prescribed fee.
Government Urges Farmers to Complete Registration: The district administration has urged all farmers to complete their Farmer Registry at the earliest to ensure they do not face any difficulties in crop procurement or availing benefits of government schemes in the future.
