On December 13, Friday, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma will transfer over ₹700 crore to the bank accounts of more than 70 lakh farmers in the second installment under the Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme during a program held in Ajmer.
Along with this, over ₹74 crore will be provided to more than 17,000 farmers for various activities such as farm ponds, pipelines, fencing, agricultural machinery, and organic fertilizers. Additionally, more than ₹28 crore will be transferred to 15,983 farmers for drip and sprinkler systems, and over ₹80 crore for solar pumps via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
Another major move, financial assistance of ₹200 crore will be transferred via DBT to 3.25 lakh livestock keepers in the state, at a rate of ₹5 per liter. Additionally, ₹22 crore in incentives will be provided to 10,500 female agricultural students studying in agricultural faculties to promote agricultural education.
New Schemes for Farmers and Livestock Keepers: Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma will also launch several new initiatives to support farmers and livestock keepers. Among these:
New Initiatives for Agricultural Development: Union Agriculture Minister and Ajmer MP, Bhagirath Chaudhary, highlighted that the program will also introduce several beneficial initiatives for farmers, including:
