Over ₹700 Crore to be transferred to Farmers' Accounts, New Schemes Launched for Farmers and Livestock Keepers

On December 13, Friday, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma will transfer over ₹700 crore to the bank accounts of more than 70 lakh farmers in the second installment under the Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme during a program held in Ajmer.

Along with this, over ₹74 crore will be provided to more than 17,000 farmers for various activities such as farm ponds, pipelines, fencing, agricultural machinery, and organic fertilizers. Additionally, more than ₹28 crore will be transferred to 15,983 farmers for drip and sprinkler systems, and over ₹80 crore for solar pumps via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Assistance for Livestock Keepers:

Another major move, financial assistance of ₹200 crore will be transferred via DBT to 3.25 lakh livestock keepers in the state, at a rate of ₹5 per liter. Additionally, ₹22 crore in incentives will be provided to 10,500 female agricultural students studying in agricultural faculties to promote agricultural education.

New Schemes for Farmers and Livestock Keepers: Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma will also launch several new initiatives to support farmers and livestock keepers. Among these:

Mangla Animal Insurance Scheme:

  1. Camel Conservation and Development Mission
  2. Introduction of Cattlewood Machines in 100 Cow Shelters
  3. Launch of 200 Bulk Milk Coolers and 1,000 new milk collection centers
  4. Interest-free loans of up to ₹1 lakh for 20,000 livestock keepers under the Gopal Credit Card Scheme

Additional Support for Farmers:

  1. PM KUSUM-B Scheme: ₹300 crore subsidy for solar pumps to 15,000 farmers
  2. Construction of storage facilities in cooperative societies: ₹10 crore approval for the first installment
  3. AgriStake Platform: Online registration for farmers in Sikar district, along with land record applications, boundary agreements, and land transfer processes

New Initiatives for Agricultural Development: Union Agriculture Minister and Ajmer MP, Bhagirath Chaudhary, highlighted that the program will also introduce several beneficial initiatives for farmers, including:

  1. Covering 1.15 lakh hectares with drip, sprinkler, and micro-irrigation systems
  2. Providing subsidies of up to ₹9,000 per hectare for drip and sprinkler equipment
  3. Organizing over 600 farmer fairs and workshops
  4. Establishing 500 new Agricultural Science Centers
  5. Launching 1,200 new crop testing projects
  6. Setting up 1,000 stalls for organic products
  7. Plantation in 1,000 hectares of land
  8. Establishment of 22 new agricultural markets
