As per the guidelines issued by the Department of Farmers' Welfare and Agricultural Development, under the Government of India's Price Support Scheme (PSS) for the marketing year 2024-25, the procurement of gram (chana) at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of ₹5,650 per quintal has begun from February 20 and will continue until March 10, 2025.
Deputy Director of the Farmers' Welfare and Agricultural Development Department, Mrs. Suman Prasad, has urged farmers to complete their registration at the designated centers. Free registration facilities are available at Gram Panchayats, Janpad Panchayats, Tehsil offices, and through the MP Kisan app. Additionally, registration can be done at cooperative societies, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs), MP Online kiosks, Common Service Centers (CSCs), Lok Seva Kendras, and private cyber cafes. A nominal fee of ₹50 per registration will be charged at these centers.
No Registration after March 10: Mrs. Suman Prasad has emphasized that all farmers must complete their registration before the deadline. No registrations will be accepted after March 10, 2025.
