Training Provided to 730 Women in 8 Districts: in an effort to provide employment opportunities for women and young girls in the state, the Transport Department of Madhya Pradesh has launched a scheme offering free driving licenses. To date, over 752,600 learning licenses have been issued. Training has been conducted for approximately 730 women in eight districts Jabalpur, Indore, Sagar, Khandwa, Gwalior, Jhabua, Ujjain, and Dhar—enabling them to operate light motor vehicles. Following the training, these women have been issued driving licenses.
To ensure the safety of women and young girls traveling in public transport, the Transport Department is equipping vehicles with location tracking devices and panic buttons. To date, over 46,500 such devices have been installed in vehicles. These devices are designed to enhance safety and utility for women. Additionally, the department is issuing licenses through faceless services, eliminating the need for women to visit transport offices for obtaining learning licenses via E-KYC.
On August 6, 2024, the All-India Entrepreneur Conference will be held in Dewas district of Madhya Pradesh, organized by Laghu Udyog Bharati Madhya Pradesh with the support of the MSME Department. The conference will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. MSME Minister Mr. Chetanya Kashyap will deliver a special address, and Dr. Krishna Gopal, the National Secretary of RSS, will be the keynote speaker.

The conference will also feature the Self-Reliant India Industrial Fair 2024, focused on women and youth, with support from the Central Government’s MSME Department. The event aims to promote industrial activities within the state. Over 3,000 entrepreneurs will participate, including more than 300 from other states. More than 100 stalls will be set up at the conference.
