Training for 500 Farmers: The Haryana government has planned to provide drone pilot training to 500 farmers across the state. In the first and second phases, 267 farmers have already been trained. Applications are now being invited from the remaining farmers so that they too can benefit from the training and gain new employment opportunities.
How to Apply? Assistant Agricultural Engineer Gopiram Sangwan stated that interested candidates can apply on the official portal of the Agriculture Department at www.agriharyana.gov.in. A district-level committee, chaired by the DC, has been formed to review applications and select candidates based on eligibility and qualifications.
Government Support and Initiatives: The government is promoting the use of drone technology in farming through various initiatives. Under the ‘Namo Drone Didi Yojana,’ women are also being trained as drone pilots to enhance their employability. As part of this initiative, the Haryana government has launched a free drone pilot training program for unemployed farmers.
Farmers and youth interested in this training should apply as soon as possible and integrate modern technology into their agricultural practices.
