Good news for our farmer brothers! It is good news for the farmers of Rajasthan. The state government, ahead of the elections, has announced a significant relief for farmers by declaring that agricultural electricity consumers will not be charged for fuel surcharge. The government will bear this surcharge from its own funds. This announcement also applies to domestic electricity consumers.

CM Ashok Gehlot stated under this announcement that the government will bear the amount of 2,500 crore rupees for the fuel surcharge. This announcement was made during the inauguration ceremony of the Indira Gandhi Smartphone Scheme at the Birla Auditorium.

In essence, in the state, domestic consumers are being provided with free electricity up to 100 units, while farmers are receiving free electricity up to 2,000 units per month. Prior to this, the CM had announced the elimination of fuel surcharge and other fees for domestic consumers up to 200 units. Expanding this scope, an announcement has been made to eliminate the fuel surcharge for all domestic and agricultural consumers.

He mentioned that orders have been given to the electricity companies to update their software data so that the benefits of the announced measures can be extended to both agricultural and general consumers.
