Technology has made its mark in every field. The Indian government is working on digitization extensively. In countries like India, where farmers are highly significant, modernization has found its place in agriculture as well. Digitization has played a crucial role in the progress of rural areas. Now, farmers can learn many things from the comfort of their homes. The government has launched several apps that will make farming easier for farmers and help them learn new techniques from home. Here are four apps that will prove beneficial for farmers:
1. Crop Insurance App: Due to changes in the climate and sudden shifts in weather, farmers are facing many challenges. This app can be a significant help to farmers. It acts as a safeguard for crops. In case of crop damage, farmers can register complaints on the app within 72 hours. The app provides information on crop insurance claims calculation and future insurance premiums.
2. MP Kisan App: This app is for farmers in Madhya Pradesh. Through this mobile application, farmers can find solutions to every small and large issue related to farming from home. It provides information on land-related issues, land records, and B-1 papers. Additionally, information on government schemes, application services, e-KYC, crop loss compensation, farmer credit cards, and agricultural loans is available. The app also offers agriculture-based advice.
3. Raj Kisan App: Similar to Madhya Pradesh, the Rajasthan government has also launched an app for the convenience of farmers. On this app, information and application services for farming, gardening, and animal husbandry schemes are available. To utilize the app, farmers need to download it and register. After that, they can apply for agricultural schemes, avail agricultural loan facilities, crop insurance, and more from the comfort of their homes. This service is offered by the government free of charge.
4. Pusa Agriculture App: This app offers information and advice from agricultural scientists. It provides updates on agricultural advice, information on new crop varieties, weather forecasts, and agricultural technologies. Through this app, farmers can gain prior knowledge about the weather and receive advisory services for agricultural work.
These apps are designed to provide valuable information, streamline government services, and improve accessibility for farmers in India.
