Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made a significant announcement aimed at improving the economic condition of farmers across the country. On Monday, the government approved seven major agricultural projects with a total investment of ₹13,966 crore. The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav, expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for this farmer-friendly decision, stating that the government is committed to giving a new direction to the lives of farmers, marking the beginning of a new era in Indian agriculture.

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced the launch of the ₹2,817 crore Digital Agriculture Mission, which is based on successful pilot projects. This mission aims to elevate agriculture and improve the lives of farmers through advanced technologies.

A Major Step toward Agricultural Reforms:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's cabinet, several crucial decisions have been made to increase farmers' incomes and bring stability to the agricultural sector. The first of these is the Digital Agriculture Mission, which will utilize cutting-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Remote Sensing. Additionally, a program costing ₹3,979 crore has been initiated to ensure food and nutritional security, focusing on six key pillars. This program will promote climate-sensitive crop science until 2047.

₹7,170 Crore Approved for Agricultural Education and Development:

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), ₹2,291 crore will be invested to modernize agricultural education. This includes enhancements to digital infrastructure and reforms in line with the New Education Policy 2020. Furthermore, ₹1,702 crore has been approved for livestock health and production, ₹860 crore for horticultural development, and nearly ₹1,115 crore and ₹1,202 crore have been allocated for natural resource management and agricultural science centers, respectively.
