Madhya Pradesh has taken several important decisions in favor of farmers. This year, on the occasion of Govardhan Puja, the state will celebrate the procurement of soybeans at the support price across the region. During this time, information about farmer welfare decisions and beneficial schemes for farmers will be shared. The state government is fully committed to the welfare of farmers and has been making continuous decisions in their favor. The Chief Minister also mentioned that regular communication with farmers will continue.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's initiative, the 'Digital India Mission,' the 'Sampada 2.0' portal and mobile app have been launched. Through this innovation, farmers will gain access to e-registry services, simplifying revenue-related tasks. The officials of the Bharatiya Kisan Sangh (Indian Farmers' Union) congratulated the Chief Minister for this initiative.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also mentioned that the use of solar energy, along with thermal power, is rapidly increasing in the state. Farmers who adopt solar energy will be incentivized. Under the central government's 'PM Krishak Mitra Surya Yojana,' special assistance will be provided for setting up solar plants, giving farmers an opportunity to become self-reliant.
Dr. Yadav emphasized that alongside agriculture, livestock and dairy production are effective ways to increase farmers' income. Efforts are being made to enhance dairy production in collaboration with the National Dairy Development Board. A scheme to provide bonuses for dairy production will soon be implemented. In addition, under the 'Madhya Pradesh Natural Farming Development Scheme,' financial incentives are being offered to encourage the conservation and breeding of indigenous cows.
The Chief Minister also announced that the state government is encouraging farmers to establish food processing units. Under the 'Rani Durgavati Shri Ann Promotion Scheme,' special financial assistance will be provided. Increasing the production of coarse grains, along with setting up food processing units, will lead to higher income for farmers.
Key Topics Discussed in the Meeting: During the discussion with the officials of the Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, several important topics were addressed, including land acquisition, name transfers, record corrections, crop cutting experiments, demarcation work, the role of cooperative societies, and agricultural inputs.
