Farmers can enhance soil fertility naturally by growing 14 types of green manure crops during the summer season. This method reduces dependency on chemical fertilizers and ensures better yields for the upcoming Kharif season crops.
After harvesting wheat and other Rabi crops, fields often remain vacant during May-June. Planting green manure crops during this period improves soil fertility. These crops grow quickly, and after 50-60 days, they are plowed back into the soil, enriching it with essential nutrients.
Total seed quantity: 10 kg 180 g
Farmers should mix these seeds and evenly spread them across the field, followed by light plowing.
Nutrients Added to the Soil: Green manure crops improve soil by adding essential nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, zinc, and iron. Marigold helps control nematodes, while basil (Tulsi) reduces the effects of harmful chemicals in the soil.
