The Haryana government has launched a new scheme called the "Har Ghar-Har Grihini Yojana" aimed at the welfare of below poverty line (BPL), Antyodaya, and economically weaker families. The scheme's objective is to provide financial assistance and empowerment to women from poor and needy families in the state. Under this scheme, eligible families will have the opportunity to receive a gas cylinder each month for just ₹500. On August 12, 2024, Haryana's Chief Minister, Shri Nayab Singh Saini, launched the Har Ghar Har Grihini Yojana for the women of the state’s poor families. The scheme aims to provide gas cylinders at affordable prices to BPL families in the state. Under this scheme, poor families will receive a gas cylinder every month for just ₹500. The government has also launched the "Har Ghar-HHar Grihini Portal," through which applicants can easily avail themselves of the scheme's benefits.
Gas Cylinder for Just ₹500: Eligible families will receive a gas cylinder for only ₹500 under the scheme.
Direct Bank Subsidy: If the cost of the cylinder exceeds ₹500, the additional amount will be directly credited to the beneficiary’s bank account.
Large Number of Beneficiaries: Approximately 5 million BPL families in the state will benefit from this scheme.
Government Assistance: The state government will directly transfer the subsidy amount to the beneficiaries’ accounts, ensuring transparency.
