Haryana Agricultural University (CCSHAU) has finalized preparations for its upcoming Agricultural Fair (Rabi Season), set to take place at the Mela Ground on September 16-17, 2024. The fair will be inaugurated by the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. B.R. Kamboj, who will serve as the chief guest.
The Vice-Chancellor has reviewed the fair’s arrangements with relevant officials and issued necessary directives. Dr. Balwan Singh Mandal, Director of Education at the university, announced that the event will highlight new technologies and agricultural products developed by the university’s departments for agriculture and rural development. Multinational companies will also participate in the exhibition. Additionally, the fair will provide information and distribute advanced seed varieties for Rabi crops and vegetables to farmers.
Special provisions have been made for soil sample testing and diagnosis at nominal fees, plant disease diagnosis, and the display of new Kharif crop varieties. Farmers attending the fair will have the opportunity to view Kharif season crops cultivated by scientists at the university’s research farm. The fair will also offer valuable information on home science tailored for women farmers. Joint Director Dr. Krishna Yadav noted that the event will include discussions on agricultural challenges and methods for pest management.
