West Bengal: Meteorologists predict that several cities across West Bengal will witness temperatures exceeding 45 degrees Celsius on May 1st. Places such as Kalikunda, Bankura, Bishnupur, Sheoraphuli, and Shamsherganj are among those likely to face the brunt of this intense heat. Additionally, major cities like Kolkata, Asansol, Shriniketan, Sundarbans, and Ratuwa continue to reel under the scorching heat. Yesterday, Kalikunda recorded a staggering temperature of over 47 degrees Celsius, surpassing its average temperature by a significant margin of 10 degrees Celsius.
