Severe heat has set in early across Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh Weather, with temperatures surpassing 40°C in several districts. The Meteorological Department has issued warnings for heatwave conditions and strong hot winds, advising people to take precautions.
Madhya Pradesh is experiencing intense heat even before the end of March. Seven districts have recorded temperatures above 40°C, with Khajuraho being the hottest at 41°C. Narmadapuram recorded 40.9°C, while heatwave effects were observed in Ratlam, Guna, Shivpuri, and Gwalior. The weather department has issued a heatwave alert for the Indore-Ujjain region. According to the IMD, when temperatures reach around 40°C, the chances of a heatwave increase. Currently, Barwani, Ratlam, Shivpuri, and Guna are experiencing similar conditions. While a slight drop in temperatures is expected on Friday, April is likely to bring even more extreme heat, making precautions necessary.
The heatwave continues to intensify in Uttar Pradesh. On Thursday, Prayagraj and Kanpur Dehat recorded maximum temperatures of 42°C. The weather department predicts further temperature rises in the coming days, accompanied by strong winds blowing at speeds of 20-30 km/h. Lucknow recorded a maximum temperature of 39.7°C and a minimum of 20.5°C. Other cities such as Varanasi BHU (40.6°C), Sultanpur (40.3°C), and Hamirpur (41.2°C) also experienced severe heat. Agra recorded 39.1°C, signaling the onset of extreme summer conditions. Minimum temperatures in various districts ranged between 20°C and 22.6°C. With temperatures continuously rising, the risk of heatwaves is increasing. Weather experts warn that the heat is expected to intensify in the coming days, making it essential for people to stay cautious and take necessary precautions.
