The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted continued precipitation in mountainous regions, including Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand on Wednesday, April 3rd. According to IMD, this pattern of rain and snowfall is expected to persist until April 6th of this week. Over the past few days, northern and eastern parts of India have experienced consistent rainfall. Yesterday, several states in northeastern India witnessed showers, with many areas in Arunachal Pradesh affected. Additionally, light rain occurred in various regions of southern India, including Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry.
Today states such as Arunachal Pradesh and Assam are anticipated to receive rainfall. There is a possibility of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning in different parts of eastern India, including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya, and Tripura. Kerala and Mahe in southern India are also likely to experience rain today. Heavy rainfall and snowfall are expected in different parts of Arunachal Pradesh.
Coastal Areas Experiencing Heavy Humidity: Coastal areas are experiencing higher humidity levels. Several regions in southern India are witnessing a rise in temperature along with humidity, leading to uncomfortable conditions, particularly in coastal states like Odisha, Karnataka, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu. Meanwhile, parts of West Bengal may encounter heatwaves in certain areas. IMD continues to monitor these weather update closely and advises residents in the affected regions to stay updated with local forecasts and take necessary precautions to ensure safety during adverse weather conditions.
