Madhya Pradesh is witnessing continuous weather fluctuations, with rain expected in some parts of the state over the next 24 hours due to a developing low-pressure area. Rainfall is most likely to occur in regions including Rewa, Shahdol, Jabalpur, and Sagar divisions. However, starting from the second week of October, temperatures are expected to drop, and by the end of the month, a slight chill could set in.
It is worth noting that the monsoon has retreated from many areas of the state, but it remains active in eastern Madhya Pradesh. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), the monsoon’s withdrawal from this region will be delayed due to a low-pressure area forming near Bangladesh.
According to the IMD, on October 5, some regions may experience partly cloudy skies, with rain likely in Jabalpur, Rewa weather, Shahdol, and Sagar divisions. Other areas could see overcast conditions. In the coming days, light rain is forecasted for regions such as Anuppur, Satna, Dindori, Rewa, Shahdol, Mauganj, Umaria, Sidhi, Katni, Singrauli, and Maihar.
Currently, a cyclonic circulation is present in the upper atmosphere near Bangladesh, with the potential to develop into a low-pressure system. This is expected to bring about further changes in the weather over the coming days.
Farmers in many parts of the state have found relief as the rains have subsided, allowing them to tend to their crops under more favorable conditions. Prolonged rainfall had put Kharif crops, especially soybeans, at risk of rotting, but now the weather has shifted in their favor. Farmers are focusing on crop maintenance and are hopeful that this improved weather will positively impact their hard work and lead to a successful harvest.
