Heavy Rainfall Continues in Madhya Pradesh, Flood Warnings Issued for Several Districts, Weather Alerts Across Other States

Madhya Pradesh is experiencing continuous heavy rainfall, with over a dozen districts, including Bhopal, receiving significant downpours. This weather pattern is being driven by moisture from the Arabian Sea, leading to consistent rainfall in many areas. Guna district, in particular, saw heavy rain throughout the day yesterday. According to the weather department, rain is expected to persist through Sunday, though its intensity may reduce by Monday. Alirajpur, Jhabua, and Barwani districts are at risk of light flooding, and warnings of heavy rain have been issued for several other regions.

Rain Expected in Other States

Today's weather forecast also indicates heavy rainfall in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, and Mahe. Additionally, Kerala and Mahe may experience thunderstorms, with wind speeds of 30-40 kmph. Isolated thunderstorms with lightning are likely in East Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Lakshadweep, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Interior Karnataka.

7-Day Weather Forecast and Warnings

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts widespread light to moderate rainfall in Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, and Gujarat over the next 24 hours. This will be followed by scattered rain in these regions for the next five days. From October 2, dry weather is likely to prevail over Saurashtra and Kutch.

Additionally, isolated light to moderate rain is expected in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Rajasthan, and West Uttar Pradesh over the next two days. East Uttar Pradesh may continue to see scattered rainfall for the next seven days. Uttarakhand will also experience intermittent rain throughout the week, with dry weather anticipated thereafter.
