Moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms is expected in Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe, and Lakshadweep over the next five days. Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal are also likely to experience light to moderate rainfall during this period.
From June 22-26, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places in Konkan and Goa, the Ghat regions of Madhya Maharashtra, Kerala, Mahe, coastal and south interior Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu.
In Gujarat, heavy rainfall and strong winds are expected from June 22-24, while Saurashtra and Kutch will likely experience these conditions on June 23-24. Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam are forecasted to have heavy rain on June 26, and southeast Rajasthan on June 24-25. Extremely heavy rainfall is also anticipated in Konkan and Goa from June 23-26, and in coastal and south interior Karnataka from June 22-24. Kerala and Mahe may see extremely heavy rainfall on June 22-23.
Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh are likely to experience moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and gusty winds (40-50 km/h) over the next five days. Heavy rainfall is expected at isolated places in west Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha on June 22-23, and on June 26 in Chhattisgarh and east Madhya Pradesh.
No significant change in maximum temperatures is expected in most parts of the country. However, isolated pockets of west Uttar Pradesh are likely to experience heatwave conditions from June 22-25. Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi may also experience heatwave conditions on June 24-25, which are expected to abate thereafter.
