Yesterday, on Saturday, heavy rains drenched several districts, including Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Narmadapuram, Khargone, Barwani, and Umaria. The continuous downpour has caused rivers and streams to swell again, submerging temples and ghats in some areas. As a precaution, the gates of several dams in Madhya Pradesh have been opened. In Narmadapuram, three gates of the Tawa Dam were opened, while in Bhopal, two gates of the Bhadbhada Dam and one gate of the Kaliyasot Dam were opened. In Umaria, four gates of the Johila Dam were opened, and in Balaghat, two gates of the Rajiv Sagar Dam were opened. Due to the relentless rainfall, the weather is expected to remain unfavorable in many areas today.
