Weather Update Today 22 February 2024, Heavy Snowfall and Rainfall Cause Disruption in Jammu and Kashmir

On February 21, according to weather reports, heavy rainfall occurred in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Arunachal Pradesh. Additionally, Western Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh experienced light showers, leading to a slight decrease in nighttime temperatures. In several areas of Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh, heavy snowfall accompanied the rainfall. Landslides in the vicinity of Srinagar-Leh in Jammu and Kashmir caused extensive traffic problems, prompting the military to close several roads. 

Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh Weather Update for February 22:

Expectations include light rainfall with the possibility of lightning in Eastern Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. 
Bihar and Jharkhand may experience strong winds resembling a squall, with concerns of light showers. 
Moderate to heavy rainfall is anticipated in parts of Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, and West Bengal.
