The Madhya Pradesh government has announced a major relief for farmers, allowing them to purchase agricultural equipment at subsidized rates. According to the Agriculture Department, online applications will be accepted from February 11, 2025 (2:00 PM) to February 18, 2025, for various farming tools, including Power Weeder, Power Tiller (above 8 BHP), Power Harrow, Shredder/Mulcher, Straw Reaper, and Reaper (Automatic/Tractor-operated). Farmers will be selected through a lottery process on February 19, 2025, based on the received applications.
To complete the application process, farmers must submit a Demand Draft (DD) from their personal bank account in the name of the Assistant Agricultural Engineer of their respective district. Applications without the required DD will not be accepted. The refundable security deposit amounts for each equipment type are as follows:
Additionally, the application deadline for Mini Dal Mill and Millet Mill has been extended until February 18, 2025. A lottery will also be conducted for these applications on February 19, 2025.
