Professor Ramji Singh, Registrar of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology, Meerut, highlighted that admissions to state agricultural universities are being facilitated through the UPCATET 2024 entrance exam, administered at Meerut Agricultural University. Consequently, registrations are being accepted. The application deadline is May 7th. Candidates with a background in intermediate science or agriculture can pursue enrollment in programs such as B.Sc. in Horticulture, Forestry, Agricultural Engineering, Food and Dairy Technology, Veterinary Science, Fisheries Science, and Sugarcane Technology. Dr. Rudra Pratap Singh, an agricultural scientist at Kendra Kotwa, emphasized the superiority of education and research in universities over colleges. By pursuing education in these institutions, youth can pave the way for a brighter future.

The present five agricultural universities in Uttar Pradesh are listed below:

1. Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur
2. Acharya Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology, Kumarganj
3. Banda University of Agriculture and Technology, Banda

Registration Procedure:

1. To begin, click on the 'New Registration' link provided on the website https://upcatet.org and input your basic information (name, mobile number, email, category, program preference, and previous academic qualifications). Then, click on the submit button.
2. An OTP will be sent to the mobile number provided by the applicant. The OTP should be entered, followed by clicking on the submit button again.
3. Upon entering the OTP, the login credentials (registration number/user ID and password) will be sent to the applicant's registered mobile number.
4. Using the registration number and password, the applicant can log in to complete the application form and can also modify the password.

Required Documents for Application:

1. Photo (taken after February 29, 2024) in JPG format, with a maximum size of 100KB-200KB.
2. Signature, in JPG format, with a maximum size of 50KB-100KB.
3. Right-hand index finger thumb impression, in JPG format, with a maximum size of 50KB-100KB.
4. Reservation-related certificates (if applicable), in JPG format, with a maximum size of 200KB.
5. Sports certificate, in JPG format, with a maximum size of 200KB (if applicable).
6. Aadhaar card.

Application Procedure:

1. The applicant should log in by entering their registration number and password.
2. Fill in details such as name, address, reservation category (main/sub-category), educational qualifications, date of birth, address, choice of examination center, etc., carefully.
3. Upload your photo, signature, thumb impression of the right-hand index finger, and certificates. Then proceed to pay the application fee online.
4. Before submitting the application fee, carefully review all details.
5. The application fee can be paid online via debit card, credit card, or net banking.
6. After successful payment of the application fee, the applicant can print their application form.

1. For General, Other Backward Classes, and Economically Weaker Sections (UR, OBC & EWS) Male Candidates: INR 1350.00
2. For Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe all categories (UR, OBC, SC, ST & EWS) Female Candidates: INR 1100.00
3. The applicant must bear the bank transaction fee themselves.
