The Agriculture Commissioner of Rajasthan, Ms. Chinmayi Gopal, visited Bharatpur district and held a review meeting with officials from the Agriculture and Horticulture Departments. During the meeting, she emphasized the timely implementation of the state government's budget announcements and the importance of maximizing benefits for farmers through various schemes.
The meeting, the Commissioner advocated for promoting the use of super phosphate instead of DAP in mustard cultivation to enhance both the quality and quantity of oil. She also instructed that agricultural inputs be made available in every Panchayat Samiti to ensure that farmers face no difficulties during sowing.
While addressing the officials, the Commissioner directed that DAP and other fertilizers be distributed at predetermined rates. She clarified that any irregularities found at any level would lead to disciplinary action against the concerned officials, and immediate notification would be sent to the Agriculture Commissioner's office.
The meeting also discussed the necessity of ensuring crop cutting experiments under the Prime Minister’s Crop Insurance Scheme through an app. additionally; district-level officials were instructed to complete the targets of various schemes, including the PM KUSUM Scheme, in a timely manner. The primary objective of this meeting was to ensure that farmers receive timely benefits from agricultural schemes and to take necessary steps to improve agricultural production.
