These days, the farmers of the country are paying full attention to the wheat crop. In many areas of North India, the wheat crop is expected to be good due to cold and rain. This is also the time for irrigation of wheat. Wheat cultivation requires irrigation 4 to 6 times. If the farmer irrigates on time, he can get good yield from his crop. However, farmers must keep many things in mind while irrigation. Come, we are going to tell you about these things..

Generally, 4 to 6 irrigations are sufficient for wheat crops. Currently, flowers have appeared in the ears of wheat crops. For higher yield, it is very important to irrigate the wheat ears at the time of flowering, which increases the yield of wheat. Whereas in sandy land 6 to 8 irrigations are required. In sandy soil, farmers should do light irrigation, for which 5 to 6 cm of water is required. Whereas heavy soil requires deep irrigation. In this, the farmer should irrigate up to 6-7 centimeters. Farmers can get a lot of benefits from this.

Timing of irrigation is important:

For good wheat yield, irrigation should be done depending on the moisture of the soil. If the weather is cold and the soil is moist, irrigation can be delayed. Whereas if the land is dry, then irrigation is required immediately. If the weather is hot, the plants require more irrigation. It should be ensured that the moisture content in the land is maintained. For good yield of wheat, 35 to 40 cm of water is required.

Irrigation is required 5 to 8 times:

If you are a farmer and have planted wheat crop and have irrigation facility, then 5 to 8 irrigations can be done in the crop. If there is not enough water, 3 to 5 irrigations can be done. Irrigation of wheat at different stages results in higher production. In wheat crop, first irrigation should be done after 20 to 25 days when the main root is formed. Similarly, second irrigation should be done after 40 to 50 days, third irrigation should be done after 65 to 70 days, fourth irrigation should be done after 90 to 95 days, fifth irrigation should be done after 105 to 110 days, and sixth irrigation should be done after 120 to 125 days.
