In order to protect garden plants from mechanical damage in sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, use hail nets or hail caps.

Handle vegetables with caution:

Harvested crops in Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Western Uttar Pradesh, and Northern Madhya Pradesh should be stored in safe places, and assistance should be provided to fruit plants in Himachal Pradesh, Western Uttar Pradesh, Eastern Rajasthan, and Western Madhya Pradesh.
