Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that with the blessings of Baba Mahakal, prosperity in Madhya Pradesh is on the rise. At the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremony of industrial units held in Ujjain, he laid the foundation stone and inaugurated 26 industrial units worth ₹1,127 crore. These units are expected to provide employment to 5,046 youths.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated an advanced Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) in Vikram Udyogpuri, built at a cost of ₹28 crore. Additionally, he disbursed ₹441 crore in investment promotion incentives to 73 industrial units with a single click.
Dr. Yadav emphasized the government's strong commitment to promoting industry and trade in the state. A plan is underway to develop Ujjain, Indore, Dewas, Dhar, and Shajapur into a new metropolitan city. Similarly, Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Raisen, Vidisha, Jabalpur, and Gwalior are also being developed as metropolitan cities to boost trade and investment.
At the Global Investors Summit 2025, held in Bhopal, investment proposals worth ₹26.61 lakh crore were received, paving the way for over 17 lakh employment opportunities. As part of this initiative, 19 new industrial units have been allotted 315 hectares of land, and ₹9,168 crore has already been invested on the ground.
Industries to Benefit Farmers and Youth: Dr. Yadav highlighted that Mesers Iscon Balaji’s ₹122 crore unit will process 400 tons of potatoes daily to produce flakes, ensuring fair prices for farmers. Meanwhile, Mesers Relssus Private Limited will establish a plant-based protein manufacturing unit with an investment of ₹97 crore, creating over 120 jobs.
Additionally, Mesers A.M. Wood Toys will invest ₹26 crore in toy manufacturing, while Mesers Shripati Molecules will set up a ₹50 crore unit for pharmaceutical and specialty chemical production.
Religious Tourism and Industrial Growth Together: The Chief Minister noted that with the development of Shri Mahakal Mahalok, religious tourism in Ujjain has surged. Since 2022, over 60 crore devotees have visited the city, significantly boosting the hotel and hospitality sector. To prepare for Singhast-2028, a budget of over ₹2,000 crore has been allocated, further solidifying Ujjain’s position as a global religious tourism hub.
