As temperatures soar, the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for severe heat in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar until June 17. The intense heatwave conditions are expected to continue across northern India, causing significant discomfort for residents. The slow advancement of the monsoon means no immediate relief from the sweltering weather for the northwestern and eastern regions of the country.
According to the Meteorological Department, cities in Delhi, Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar weather, and Jharkhand will continue to experience high temperatures ranging from 42°C to 46°C over the next four days.
Residents in affected areas should stay hydrated, avoid outdoor activities during peak heat hours, and seek shaded areas to prevent heat-related illnesses and ensure safety during this intense heatwave.
